Rocky Mount man accused of impersonating an officer

— A Rocky Mount man is accused of impersonating a North Carolina Department of Correction officer. 

Terence Craig Priester, Jr., 24, of 1000 Sunset Ave., displayed a fake badge and made the claims to a Raleigh police officer on Aug. 2, according to arrest warrants.

The police officer was arresting a suspect in a stolen vehicle at the time, according to warrants. 

Priester is charged with impersonating a law enforcement officer and resisting a public officer.

    He must've been desperate to have tried to impersonate a prison guard. Their authority usually ends at the gate when their shift is over.
