Rock, Paper, Scissors Hopeful Gets Cut Before Final Round

Posted Updated

CARY, N.C. — Aaron Rich, the Cary man who was headed for the national rock, paper, scissors tournament in Las Vegas over the weekend, came home without a check for the $50,000 prize, but not with empty pockets.

Rich, who was one of 298 competitors, made it all the way to the Sweet 16 round when his luck ran out.

He finished ninth overall and won $5,000, plus the thousands he made from his sponsor. He said Monday that he also had a fantastic time.
