Roanoke Rapids man faces sex offense charges involving child
Brian Christopher Pennell, 20, of Roanoke Rapids, faces charges of first-degree sexual offense of a child and indecent liberties with a child.

HALIFAX, N.C. — Halifax County sheriff's deputies said Monday that they have arrested a Roanoke Rapids man who is accused of inappropriate behavior with a child.
Brian Christopher Pennell, 20, was charged with first-degree sexual offense of a child and indecent liberties with a child in connection with alleged crimes from June 2008 to November.
Pennell is accused of exposing himself and performing lewd acts on the child.
The offenses were reported to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office in November.
