He was in the Halifax County jail Sunday evening under a \$100,000 bond. He’s expected to appear in in Halifax County District court on Dec. 15.

Halifax County sheriff’s investigators were called to Halifax Regional Medical Center Sunday in response to a woman’s claims of attack. When they arrived, there were two victims, authorities said.

Hey Y'all, Stop trying to confuse poor ole' Skeeter with them pesky facts!! He just wants to hate on WRAL some, and this here is America, so he can if wants to!

• ###### braddavisNov 8, 2010

hereandnow99 makes perfect sense Skeeter....it's not about how many, it's about how many in proportion to the number of citizens.....

skeeter, my wording probably could have been better...maybe this will help explain it. Let's say that you want to go scuba diving. Country X has 5 shark attack deaths per year and Country Y has 10 shark attack deaths per year. Which one would you go to?

Ok, now hold that thought... :-)

What if Country X hosts 100 scuba divers per year, but Country Y (who has a better reef system) hosts 10,000 divers per year?

5 deaths / 100 divers = 5%

10 deaths / 10,000 divers = 0.1% (or 1/10th of 1%)

No I am sorry math class did not fail me....I completely understand what the STATISTICS are BUT you cannot say Roanoke Rapids has MANY more rape cases than in other local city... I am sorry common sense has failed you.

Why don't you smart guys see how the victims of these brutal acts respond to statistics? Those who commit these heinous crimes should not be allowed in society.

skeeter83...google 'per capita', 'percentages', 'statistics'.

It will make your outlook, much easier to deal with.

"And really you can't compare RR to Raleigh, Chapel Hill etc. They are all bigger cities." skeeter83

What?...comparing is easy.. hereandnow99 did it for you..look here:
Roanoke Rapids has MANY more rapes than local cities.

RR = 42.8 rapes/100,000 people

Durham = 27.7

Raleigh = 24.4

Chapel Hill = 21.6

Cary = 9

More...
