Roadwork to close U.S. 64 lanes in Apex
One lane in each direction of U.S. Highway 64 will be closed during roadwork in Apex from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday.

APEX, N.C. — One lane in each direction of U.S. Highway 64 will be closed during roadwork in Apex Monday.
The lane closures will take place between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The roadwork is a mobile operation, so the locations of the lane closures will change.
A contractor is assessing the pavement structure of U.S. 64 for a planned intersection with the Western Wake Freeway.
That freeway is expected to open in 2012 and is part of the Triangle Expressway, an 18.8-mile toll road from the N.C. Highway 55 Bypass, near Holly Springs, to Interstate 40, at N.C. Highway 147, near the Wake-Durham county line.
