Kids will pick up the give-away-materials and throw them out of the car on the way home from the fair. Eliminate this useless state program and put some prisoners beside the road picking up trash. That's a program I would gladly pay for.

The state would save tens of millions of dollars every year if people just didn't litter. This booth is intending to prevent litter and save $. Great idea.

I've reported scores of litterbugs (mostly cigarettes) over the years using NC's mail in cards and website: http://www.ncdot.org/doh/operations/dp_chief_eng/roadside/Beautification/Litterbug/salform.html

I think the perfect punishment for litterers is community service picking up roadside trash.

Why is this news? It's actually anti enviromental. Instead of passing out materials that will cause more trash problems why not stsrt working on putting into action a recycling plan for the fair?
