Posted June 24, 2010

— Crime Stoppers has offered a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in the three-year-old unsolved slaying of a Greenville man.

Terry Carmon, 23, was shot and killed in the 300 block of Cadillac Street around 2:20 a.m. on June 23, 2007.

"Detectives have developed and are continuing to investigate numerous leads but have not made an arrest in this case," Sgt. Joe Friday said in a release. "Additional information is needed to supplement current leads."

Friday said that police believe there are additional witnesses who have not come forward.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call police Detective Richard L. Williams at 252-329-4138 or Crime Stoppers at 252-758-7777. Callers to Crime Stoppers do not have to identify themselves.

Instead of complaining about the headline of the story, just be thankful it wasnt another child that got killed ....

If the story was referring to a 3 year old chikld it would have said, "Reward offered in three-year-old's slaying".

The headline is VERY misleading, "three-year-old" is a child! Just saying!

The way the headline read, I opened it expecting to read about a 3-year-old having been murdered

Wait a minute - Sgt. Joe Friday. You've got to be kidding me. With a name like that he had to go into law enforcement. That's just too funny.
