Reward offered in mule deer killings near Mount Charleston

LAS VEGAS — State officials say a $3,000 reward has been posted for information about the shooting deaths of eight mule deer left to waste during a three-week span in September near Mount Charleston.
The Nevada Department of Wildlife says several kill sites were found, and game wardens believe all the shootings are related. They haven't ruled out multiple shooters.
A department statement says a little bit of meat or the antlers were taken in some cases.
Otherwise, the animals were left to waste in hunt unit 262.
That's in the Spring Mountains northwest of Las Vegas.
The reward is being offered by the volunteer citizens' board of the department's Operation Game Thief.
