Reward offered in Moore County murder case

The Moore County Sheriff's Office is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in the death of a Seagrove man.

SEAGROVE, N.C. — The Moore County Sheriff's Office is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in the death of a Seagrove man.

Firefighters found Elden Kitson Vanderwall, 71, dead in his home at 216 Brewer Road while they were responding to a fire around 4:20 a.m. Saturday.

An autopsy found that his death was not the result of a fire, authorities said, although they haven't said how Vanderwall died.
