Reward offered for tips on bank robber

Wachovia, Suntrust Bank and the Raleigh and Cary Crime Stoppers organizations said Thursday that they are offering a reward of up to $15,000 for information about a suspected serial bank robber.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Wachovia, Suntrust Bank and the Raleigh and Cary Crime Stoppers organizations said Thursday that they are offering a reward of up to $15,000 for information about a suspected serial bank robber.

On Nov. 25, the Suntrust Bank at 910 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary was robbed. The Wachovia at 6623 Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh was robbed on Dec. 29 and Jan. 21, and the Suntrust branch at 3620 Six Forks Road in Raleigh was robbed on Feb. 26.

A teller was injured in the Feb. 26 robbery.

Police are investigating the possibility that the cases may be related.

In each case, the robber was described as a masked black man with a slender to medium build who is about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-11 and has noticeably misshapen teeth.
