Reward increased in Johnston arson cases
The Johnston County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are now offering a $7,500 reward, up from the $5,000 previously offered.

More than 35 fires have been set in the past year in older, abandoned structures or homes under construction.
Johnston County investigators are talking with their peers in the surrounding counties of Harnett, Wilson and Wayne about possible links to fires in those areas as well.
Because most of the fires have happened overnight in out-of-the-way places, investigators have few clues to go on.
