Sims, N.C. — The governor’s office is offering a $5,000 reward for information about the death of a woman found along Green Pond Road in July.
The body of Roberta Ann Fulghum, 45, was found between U.S. Highway 264 and Countryside Road in a wooded ravine on July 29, authorities said.
The governor’s office reward brings the total of reward money in the case up to $7,500. Wilson police are offering a $2,500 reward.
Authorities said Fulghum had been dead “for a period of time,” said Maj. John Farmer, with the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office.
The body was so decomposed it was hard to determine the cause of death, Wilson County Sheriff Wayne Gay said.
Anyone with information should call the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office at 252-237-2118.
