RALEIGH, N.C. — Let's be honest – Thanksgiving dinner is a lot of work. After cooking all day, the meal seems to be over in just a few minutes. This year, why not get a Thanksgiving meal to go, or head out to eat at one of our local restaurants?

Raleigh

Jimmy V's Osteria & Bar – Traditional Italian on Thanksgiving means a sumptuous family-style meal. Enjoy favorites such as turkey and stuffing and some other choices like apple cobbler and caramel gelato. Reservations are available from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Prices: Adults $24, children 12 and under $12 (can also eat free with a donation of canned goods). Call 919-256-1451.
Plates – This new restaurant is hosting their first Charity Thanksgiving Feast. Their gourmet Thanksgiving dinner is available as eat-in or take-out and includes your choice of two meats, two sides and dessert, as well as other extras. Proceeds benefit Stop Hunger Now. Irregardless Cafe – Their carry out menu includes roast turkey and all the fixings, and must be ordered before Monday, Nov. 25 (call 919-610-6001). The meal will feed six to eight people. You can also eat at the restaurant. Their Thanksgiving menu features some nontraditional items as well as the classics. As always, they have many gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options. Tir na nOg – The Irish pub's Thanksgiving buffet is affordable, the bar is open until midnight and they will be showing Thanksgiving movies and football on the big screens. Flights at The Renaissance – A family-style meal with entree options of roasted turkey or spinach corn lasagna. Reservations are available from 1 to 8 p.m. Prices: Adults $30, children 12 and under $15. Call 919-278-1478.
Mia Francesca Trattoria – An Italian lunch and dinner buffet. Menu choices include antipasti, salmon con porri, turkey, tiramisu and more. Durham

Washington Duke Inn's Fairview Restaurant – Celebrate Thanksgiving and Hanukkah together with a buffet in the elegant Presidents Ballroom to the tune of classical piano music. Dean's Seafood Grill & Bar – Enjoy a Thanksgiving buffet with classic favorites as well as some of Dean's signature dishes. The Carolina Inn's Crossroads Restaurant – With options for Thanksgiving brunch or dinner, Carolina Crossroads has something for everyone. Meal options include cold salads and antipasti, a carving station, classic sides like whipped potatoes and collards and apple pie. Reservations are available from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for brunch and 5:30 to 8 p.m. for dinner. Brunch prices: Adults $55.95, seniors $50.95, children 7-12 $22.95, children 6 and under free.
