HONOLULU, HI — More than a year after 2014 Iolani School graduate Marc Ma went missing in Lake Tahoe, his body was believed to have been found, according to the Placer County Sheriff's Office.

Ma was playing for the University of Nevada at Reno and was paddleboarding with friends at Lake Tahoe on June 10, 2016.

Ma's family hired the non-profit search and rescue group Bruce's Legacy to help with the search and recovery. Using a specialized robotic camera system, a body was found in 240 feet of water. The body was found close to the West Shore Cafe area, where he was last seen.

The body was tentatively identified as Ma but the coroner's office has not yet made a positive identification.
