Derek Scott Anderson, 24, of Sarasota Drive in Fayetteville died of injuries sustained in a car wreck Friday.

<b>FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.</b> — Derek Scott Anderson, 24, of Sarasota Drive in Fayetteville died of injuries sustained in a car wreck Friday.<br />

Police responded to a report of a traffic accident in the parking lot of 3833 Ramsey Street just before 7:30 p.m. to find Anderson's Honda Civic had hit a pole. A preliminary investigation suggested that Anderson was traveling at high speed.<br />

Anderson was airlifted to UNC Chapel Hill, where he died of severe head injuries.
