Report: Politics had no role in Sandusky child molestation case
A review of the handling of the Jerry Sandusky child molestation case is faulting police and prosecutors for delays but found no evidence that politics affected the investigation.

Kane says the investigation took too long because of "crucial missteps and inexplicable delays."
The report was critical of a long period during then-Republican Attorney General Tom Corbett's gubernatorial campaign that the investigation was largely dormant. But it blamed a three-year delay in filing charges on communication problems, an earlier complaint being expunged and early investigative missteps.
