— A review of the handling of the Jerry Sandusky child molestation case is faulting police and prosecutors for delays but found no evidence that politics affected the investigation.

The report released Monday was ordered by Attorney General Kathleen Kane, a Democrat who had suggested politics may have had a role in the Sandusky case.

Kane says the investigation took too long because of "crucial missteps and inexplicable delays."

The report was critical of a long period during then-Republican Attorney General Tom Corbett's gubernatorial campaign that the investigation was largely dormant. But it blamed a three-year delay in filing charges on communication problems, an earlier complaint being expunged and early investigative missteps.

Sandusky was convicted in 2012 of sexually abusing 10 boys and is serving a long prison sentence.

Shocked I tell ya. I'm just shocked! Should make people want to investigate the Franklin scandal. Everyone should. Then you will understand how we keep getting the insane legislation that we see daily.

Does anyone really think that the ones who protected their own bums instead of children, will just come out and be honest about it??? No real news with this report. They covered their rears then, and are covering their rears now.
