OLIN, N.C. — Several injuries were reported Saturday afternoon when a concrete canopy structure collapsed at North Iredell High School, according to WBTV.

Emergency crews responded to the school, on Raider Road in Olin, at about 2 p.m. after a large box truck ran into the canopy structure. Students were at the school for a band competition.

Authorities said 25 people , including some students, were taken to local hospitals. Their names and conditions have not been released. As many as 20 children were trapped for a short time, officials said.
