Reminder: Small Business Saturday is 11/30

The annual Small Business Saturday event is this Saturday, November 30. This is a great time to support your local small businesses and do a little more holiday shopping! If you signed up for the Amex promotion I posted about last week, don't forget that you will get a $10 credit to your card when you spend $10 or more at a qualifying business.

The annual Small Business Saturday event is this Saturday, November 30. This is a great time to support your local small businesses and do a little more holiday shopping! If you signed up for the Amex promotion I posted about last week, don't forget that you will get a $10 credit to your card when you spend $10 or more at a qualifying business.

To qualify to receive the credit, you had to register your American Express card through the American Express Small Business Saturday website starting Sunday, 11/24. Registration was limited and is now closed. Once you receive the confirmation that you have successfully enrolled (which happened immediately last year), head over to their website and click on the Visit the Map link to check out the qualifying small businesses near you.

You have to spend $10 or more in one transaction on Saturday, November 30, to get the credit. If you spend less than that, you will not get the credit. The $10 has to be spend all at once, from the same store, in the same transaction. You will receive the statement credit within 90 days. You will want to read the fine print on this found on their website.

There are a number of qualifying restaurants and other businesses in my area so I will have no trouble finding somewhere to spend my free $10!
