Wednesday, July 23 is National Hot Dog Day and Kangaroo Express is offering a free hot dog to any customer who presents the Kangaroo Express mobile app on their phone or presents a military I.D!
From their press release:
"As a token of appreciation for our Armed Services, Kangaroo Express will offer a free hot dog to any customer with a military I.D. that stops by its nearly 1,200 grill-ready Kangaroo Express convenience stores between 6 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. In addition, guests who present the Kangaroo Express mobile app on their phone will receive a coupon voucher for a free hot dog.
Guests can stop by any participating Kangaroo Express on Wednesday, July 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. to enjoy 50-cent Ball Park hot dogs (limit four per guest). Paired with a ROO Cup refill, guests can pick up a dog and a drink for just 75 cents.
The hot dog has long been a part of iconic American celebrations and pastimes, including Independence Day and summer baseball games. Pairing perfectly with American pride, Kangaroo Express guests can enjoy their Ball Park® hot dog while supporting the military men and women who protect our freedom by donating to the Salute Our Troops® campaign.
Donations from the campaign will support the American Red Cross Service to Armed Forces, providing emergency communications, comfort and assistance to military, veterans and their families; Fisher House Foundation, donating “comfort homes” at major military and VA medical centers that enable military families to be close to a loved one during hospitalization; the United States Veterans Corps, a corps of military veterans, spouses, dependents and patriotic citizens performing hands on community service with a mission and deployment attitude, as well as six state-based military support organizations.
Since its commencement in 2011, the Salute Our Troops campaign has raised $8.4 million dollars, breaking fundraising records for many of its beneficiary organizations."
