Remains found in Fayetteville; not likely missing Bragg soldier

Posted July 25, 2012

— Human remains were found Wednesday afternoon behind a vacant Fayetteville medical office building, police said.

Investigators do not believe they belong to missing Fort Bragg soldier Kelli Bordeaux.

They are treating the case as a homicide.

A work crew discovered the remains in the tree line behind the University Medical Center building, at 705 Cumberland Street, around 3:30 p.m. The businesses there are no longer operational, police said.

The remains were sent to the medical examiner's office for identification.

Crazy how often remains are located while looking for someone that turn out to be someone else.
