After a brief hiatus, The Relative Pitch, an open mic opportunity for kids 18 and under in the Triangle, returns with a performance Saturday in Raleigh.
The Relative Pitch, the idea of talented singers and songwriters Rissi Palmer, who I've written about many times here on Go Ask Mom, and Kim Arrington, is a one-hour show giving young musicians and singers a place to perform. The two launched the project, originally in Durham, after realizing that there weren't many places for kids to perform in front of a friendly audience with friends and family.
During the shows, performers can sing with the house band, bring their own accompanist, accompany themselves or perform to a backing track that they provide.
