RALEIGH, N.C. — Registration is now open for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and Half-Marathon to be held in Raleigh next April.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series combines musically themed marathons and half-marathons with live entertainment. It has been described as "a 26.2-mile block party." As you run, there are cheer squads and local bands lining the course.
The event is April 13, 2014 and will include a two-day Health and Fitness Expo at the Raleigh Convention Center.

The Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau estimates the two-day event will result in $2 million in consumer spending in the area.

There is a special deal for those who register Monday, April 1. It is $55 for the half-marathon and $65 for the full marathon. Prices go up Tuesday to $65 and $75, respectively. The closer the race gets, the more it will cost to register.
