Recipe: Slow cooker peach pie filling

Posted July 28, 2016

Here's a great treat for these hot summer days, using a fruit that's in season right now. This one is so easy! I made it with my six-year-old, taking inspiration from peach pie filling recipes. Best of all, you don't have to heat up your kitchen when you make it!

Slow Cooker Peach Pie Filling

8 peaches, sliced
1/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup butter, sliced

Dump all of the ingredients into your slow cooker and mix it all up. Put the lid on it and cook on low for about two hours. Serve warm over vanilla ice cream.
