Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Easy. Quick. That's pretty much what I'm always looking for in recipes. And, if I typically have all of the ingredients in my pantry or freezer, even better.

This recipe for honey garlic chicken definitely fits the bill. You can use chicken breasts or thighs. I prefer thighs in the slow cooker because they don't seem to dry out as quickly. Here's how it's done.

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken
1 1/2 to 2 pounds skinless boneless chicken breasts or chicken thighs (If using breasts, cut each breast up in about four to six pieces).
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
6 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried basil

Place the chicken pieces in your slow cooker. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients and mix together. Pour the sauce over the chicken. Cover and cook on low for four hours.

Serve over rice.
