We had Julia Sims' chocolate cookies this week. Then Lynda Loveland's tree bark. And now WRAL anchor Renee Chou shares her recipe for really yummy spritz cookies. (My family ate an entire batch over the weekend!).

"We love making spritz cookies at Christmastime," Renee tells me.

Here's how she makes them.

Spritz Cookies
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup sugar
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Blend in remaining ingredients. Fill a cookie press with a quarter of the dough at a time. Form shapes on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 6 to 9 minutes until set, but not brown. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
