Julia Sims shared a yummy recipe for her chocolate refrigerator cookies. Today, WRAL anchor Lynda Loveland shares her recipe for tree bark.

"This tree bark is soooo easy to make and it's a great gift for teachers, neighbors and co-workers. In fact co-workers request it!," she tells me.

Here's how it's done!

Tree Bark
Saltine crackers
1 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar

1 package milk chocolate chips

Line cookie sheet with foil. Line crackers side by side to cover the cookie sheet. Do not overlap!

In a microwave safe bowl, melt the butter and sugar. Microwave for two to three minutes, whisking half way through to combine. Whisk again after microwaving. Pour over crackers to cover.

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Take out of the oven and pour one package of chocolate chips all over. Wait 2 minutes. Then, spread with a spatula. Place in the refrigerator for three hours.
