Recipe: Baked snowflakes

Posted December 22, 2014

Tis the season for making memories with your lil’ chef and family at home! This recipe is an all time favorite in our studios. Given the popularity of the movie “Frozen,” we make dozens of these every weekend.

It’s such a simple recipe and so easy to make it festive with colored sugar at the holiday. My favorite way to prepare these is with cinnamon sugar rather than the colored sugar. The smell coming from the oven is so worth waiting for!

We wish you and your family a very happy and safe holiday season!

Baked Snowflakes

1 soft tortilla
Melted butter
Cinnamon sugar or colored sugar
1 piece of parchment paper or foil
Scissors
Pastry brush

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Fold tortilla in half, and in half again. Use a pair of scissors to cut shapes as you would a paper snowflake. Unfold and brush with melted butter. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar or colored sugar on top. Bake for about ten minutes and let cool. Display on a platter at your next holiday party!
