Recall issued on Fitbit

Posted March 12, 2014

The maker of Fitbit, a wireless activity-tracking wristband, has issued a recall.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Wednesday that wearers could develop allergic reactions to the band’s stainless steel casing, materials in the strap or adhesives used in the product.

Consumers should call Fitbit for a full refund. The toll-free number is 888-656-6381. Call from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily or go to the Fitbit website and click on “Recall/Safety Info” on the right side of the page.
