Ramp from I-95 S to U.S. 264 E scheduled to temporarily close Wednesday night

The North Carolina Department of Transportation said Wednesday that it will close the ramp from Interstate 95 South to U.S. Highway 264 East in Wilson at 6 p.m.

Crews will repave a section of the ramp Wednesday night and will plan to reopen the area by 1 a.m. Thursday morning, the NCDOT said.

While the ramp is closed, drivers traveling southbound on I-95 wanting access to U.S. Highway 264 East are advised to continue south on I-95, take the next exit, and take I-95 North back to the exit for U.S. 264 East.

The NCDOT asked motorists to be vigilant while driving in construction zones, staying alert and adhering to the speed limit.
