Raleigh wreck knocks out power to some residents

The Highway Patrol investigated an early morning wreck Thursday that knocked out power to residents near the intersection of Weeks Drive and Fayetteville Road.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Highway Patrol investigated an early morning wreck Thursday that knocked out power to residents near the intersection of Weeks Drive and Fayetteville Road.

A pickup truck went off Fayetteville Road shortly after 3 a.m. and hit a guy-wire, which caused a transformer to blow, authorities said.

Two people were in the truck, and one was taken to a nearby hospital. No other information was released.
