RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh woman died Tuesday in a head-on collision on New Hope Church Road, police said Wednesday.

Onyemma Ndokwu, 49, of Hardimont Road, was westbound on New Hope Church Road at about 3:30 p.m. when her 2005 Nissan crossed the center line near Bonneville Court and collided with a 1993 Plymouth van driven by Carlos Hernandez Joya, police said.

Ndokwu was killed, and three passengers in the van – Carlos Hernandez Romero, Oliver Funes Machado and Yeseaia Funes – were taken to WakeMed for treatment. Their conditions were unknown Wednesday.

Joya, 38, of 3987 Green Road in Raleigh, was cited for not having a driver's license, police said.
