RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh woman has been charged after police say she set fire to her home Monday afternoon.

Tyesha Michelle Page, 22, of 2123 Shenandoah Road, was arrested on one count of second-degree arson for the blaze, which broke out shortly before 1 p.m.

Firefighters arrived at the one-story home to find heavy fire and smoke billowing through the front windows and roof.

About 75 percent of the house was consumed in flames, authorities said. There were no reports of injuries.

During her first court appearance Tuesday, prosecutors said Page confessed to the crime, but they did not provide a motive.

She is also accused of burning her mother's 2011 GMC Terrain, according to a warrant for her arrest on a burning personal property charge. Prosecutors said flames from the house damaged the SUV.

Page was in the Wake County jail under a $150,000 bond Tuesday morning.
