Raleigh woman charged with embezzlement

A Raleigh woman employed by the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer is accused of stealing money.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Raleigh woman employed by the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer is accused of stealing money.

Faith Inez Jackson, 46, of 2534 Lake Wheeler Road, was arrested and charged Wednesday with embezzlement.

According to an arrest warrant, Jackson took eight checks totaling $1,943.04 from the state’s unclaimed property program.

She was being held Wednesday in the Wake County jail under $2,500 bond. Jackson’s first court appearance was set for Thursday.
