Raleigh woman accused of stealing nearly $60K from job

Raleigh, N.C. — A Raleigh woman has been arrested on accusations that she stole nearly $60,000 from her employer.

Sonya Jenkins Franks, 41, of 4217 Beacon Crest Way, was charged Sunday with one count each of forgery and embezzlement.

According to an arrest warrant, Franks stole the money last year, over a seven-month period, from Family Legacy Mental Health Services in Raleigh.

She was jailed under a $15,000 bond and is expected to make her first court appearance Tuesday.

VERNON W HATLEY was the Wake county school transportation director that was responsible for 3.8 million being siphoned from the taxpayers. In 2006 he started a 10 year sentence, got out last year, in 6 months he will not even be on probation. Just another example of why this keeps happening.

And to think I can't even get a job......I'm honest, worked all my life, just happen to be a young 50 something but can't get hired! I would have loved that job.

I'm sure Mrs. Franks thinks it is quite all right to steal from those she would deem as more gullible and intellectually inferior to her, but would find it frankly unfair if someone were to steal from her.

It goes hand-in-hand with the article about Ben Chavis' and William Barber's observations about the Obama reelection.

Let's do the math here..... She stole $60K, and her bond is $15K...mmmmmmm. And stealing from an organization helping the Mentally Ill. $ Scum $ of the earth.
