RALEIGH, N.C. — A two-alarm fire at a Raleigh townhome early Saturday displaced a family of three, according to fire officials.

A resident reported the fire at 2805 Dillmark Court around 5:40 a.m., according to the incident report. When firefighters arrived, flames were spreading from downstairs out the back of the house and up to the second floor.

It took 35 firefighters about 25 minutes to bring the blaze under control, the report says.

The family of three was home at the time but escaped safely.

The report says that half of the townhome was damaged, rendering it uninhabitable. Inspectors declared the building unsafe.

The townhouse did have a smoke detector.
