Raleigh's parks, recreation and cultural resources department is asking teens and their parents for ideas about how they can improve their programs for teens.

The city wants to "improve and expand recreation opportunities for teens" throughout the city, according to Raleigh's website. They are interested in learning more about programs, classes, motivations and methods of communication best suited for Raleigh's teens.

The survey, which doesn't take very long to complete, asks for, for instance, what kinds of programs teens might be interested in - yoga vs. Zumba vs. web design and others.

Anybody who fills out the survey can be entered for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card.

Raleigh's website has more information and a link to the survey.

You can learn more about many of the programs that the city offers for teens now on its teen program page.

Raleigh is the latest municipality in the region to take a look at its teen programs. In September, Chapel Hill launched a new website devoted to teens and the town's teen programs.
