The N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences will host an information exchange night for educators, including homeschoolers.

The SciREN Triangle Networking Event and Museum Open House is 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sept. 9. Scientists and teachers from across the Triangle and Piedmont region are invited to interact and learn more about the museum's programs and opportunities for educators and students.

Teachers will get a chance to preview exhibits, work out field trip logistics, talk with museum staff and learn about other opportunities. Thanks to a partnership from the Scientific Research and Education Network, as part of the evening, teachers can meet with more than 60 local scientists who will be able to distribute curriculum-centered lessons based on their research.

The event is free, but registration is required. The downtown Raleigh museum's website has more information.
