Raleigh middle school evacuated after bomb threat

A 39-year-old man was arrested and charged Tuesday with calling in a bomb threat that led to the evacuation of a middle school.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 39-year-old man was arrested and charged Tuesday with calling in a bomb threat that led to the evacuation of a Raleigh middle school.

Carlos Dontherell King, of 1308 Highcourt Drive in Raleigh, is accused of calling in a bomb threat to Carnage Magnet Middle School at about 8 a.m. Tuesday. The school was evacuated, Raleigh police said.

King is charged with filing a false report for mass violence on educational property, filing a false bomb report to a public building and communicating threats.

King remained in the Wake County jail Tuesday under an $80,000 bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday.
