Raleigh Running Mamas, which trains new to experienced runners for races, will launch its tenth season this month.
The program, part of Fit4Mom Raleigh, is designed for moms who are interested in training for a 5K, 10K and half marathon. It's stroller-friendly, as some Fit4Mom Raleigh's programs are, but a stroller isn't required.
For each race, the program offers multiple levels of training - from first timers to veterans. No running experience is necessary for the 5K, which starts with an alternating walk/jog of short intervals.
The half marathon program starts Aug. 9. The 10K program begins Aug. 23. And the 5K program begins Sept. 2. Each program culminates with participants running a race.
