Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh city leaders want residents’ feedback on designing and renovating downtown public transit stations.
The city plans to design the new Union Station, which will include connections to Capital Area Transit bus service, long-distance bus service, Amtrak and other modes of transportation. Construction is set to begin late this year or in early 2015.
The city also wants to renovate the current Moore Square facility.
Designers say they are focused on four specific areas. They want facilities to be accessible, active, comfortable and recognizable.
