RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police were seeking the public's help Thursday to identify a man wanted in connection with a Dec. 8 attempted robbery in the 1000 block of Hightower Street.

Authorities released two surveillance photos of a man who they say fired shots at a person's vehicle on Dec. 8 after attempting to rob the person inside.

Investigators said the man is about 5 feet 7 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with a hood, red pants. He has short hair and is clean shaven, authorities said.

Anyone with information about the Dec. 8 incident or the man's identity should call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357 or visit the Raleigh Crime Stoppers website.

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for tips that help solve cases and callers never have to identify themselves.
