RALEIGH, N.C. — Police investigators on Sunday released security video of a man wanted in connection with two recent robberies in Raleigh.

Detectives say a slender man wearing a green jacket and blue baseball cap walked into Subway, at 4003 Wake Forest Road, shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 4, handed the cashier a robbery note and eventually left on foot.

Security video from the crime shows the man partially removing a handgun from his pocket and showing it to the cashier.

Just before 7 p.m. three days later, police say, the man, wearing the same clothing, also robbed Ace Hardware, at 6196 Falls of Neuse Road – about 2.5 miles from the previous robbery – and also showed a note and weapon before leaving on foot.

Police believe the man is of short to medium height and that he appears to be in his mid-30s.

Anyone with information that could help investigators is asked to call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357 or visit www.raleighcrimestoppers.org.
