Raleigh police on Friday morning were searching for the driver of a car that crashed near North Carolina State University.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police on Friday morning were searching for the driver of a car that crashed near North Carolina State University.

The vehicle was found wrecked at Clark Avenue and Oberlin Road, according to the Raleigh Police Department. There was a heavy police presence at the scene early Friday morning.

Police said the driver crashed and fled on foot, but they have been unable to locate the person.
