Raleigh, N.C. — Raleigh police are looking into whether a man's Dec. 8 death was a crime.
Police found a 90-year-old man dead in a bedroom at 1525 Canterbury Road. While there, according to the search warrant, police saw "a substance believed to be blood ... in multiple rooms."
Jim Sughrue, spokesman for the Raleigh Police Department, said the search does not mean that police suspect foul play.
Because the cause of the man's death has yet to be determined, officers were merely doing their due diligence to protect any evidence at the scene, Sughrue explained.
