— Raleigh police are asking for the public's help to find a man who is accused of robbing a GameStop store Monday afternoon.

Surveillance photos show a heavy-set black man who appears to be about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a gray T-shirt with writing on the front and a design on the back and a dark-colored ball cap. He also wore dark colored shorts and a tattoo on his left arm.

Police say the man walked into the store at 5260 Capital Blvd. at about noon. He showed the clerk a handgun and demanded money from the register, which the clerk handed over, police said. He left on foot.

Anyone with information on the man's identity or whereabouts should call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-HELP or visit RaleighCrimeStoppers.org for text and email reporting options. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for tips that help solve cases.

Hope this thief gets caught and punished. He and other people who CHOOSE not to work should get a job instead of victiming people who work for a living.

Normal thing lately on Capital Blvd. Ask the car dealers of all the thefts they have through there.

That's a very good picture, and that guy looks like he can't just hide in a crowd very easily. He's going to jail soon.

My bet is that the RPD already knows him... WRAL putting out the pictures are more to push him to turn himself in and save the RPD the time of looking for him.

Smile at the camera next time!

I bet he was acting like he was on the phone so the clerk wouldn't suspect anything. That way he would blend in until he thought the time was right to rob the place. RPD will do a great job and catch him before the week is over. That picture is too good of a picture and I bet he has some people that he has taken advantage of in the past that will turn him in.

Thats funny- what did he say on the call? "Hold on a second, i gotta rob this place real quick, be right with you" LOL couldnt have a better picture, very clear. Every store should have quality video equipment or its just a pretty decoration.
