Posted September 16, 2014

Raleigh police on Sept. 16, 2014, released this composite sketch of a man caught looking into a home on Brimwater Drive on Aug. 10, 2014.

— Police on Tuesday released a sketch of a man wanted in connection with a report of a peeping Tom at a north Raleigh home last month.

A woman reported seeing a man in her backyard on Brimwater Drive, just off Trawick Road, looking into her windows just before dawn on Aug. 10. The same woman later reported that someone had broken into her home.

Security video showed a man in a long, light T-shirt and baggy, dark shorts. The video is in black and white, but in a call to 911, the woman said the man was bald, about 6 feet tall and wearing a green shirt and blue shorts.

Police are asking that anyone with information that could help solve the peeping, the burglary or both call Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that help solve cases.

Its sad to me that you seek help in Identifying suspects in crimes you report upon but you will not include suspects race in your descriptions. I guess that the risk of not appearing politically correct outweighs actually catching a murderer/ rapist. On that note, you should not include suspects gender as you may be offending either male or female readers. Pulling the plug!
