Raleigh Police Looking for Bank Robber

Raleigh police are looking for a man who robbed a bank Tuesday afternoon.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh police are looking for a man who robbed a bank Tuesday afternoon.

A 2:40 p.m., a man walked into the Wachovia bank at 150 Fayetteville St. He passed a note to a teller that implied he was armed, police said. The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money.

Police said they are looking for a black man, about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing about 240 pounds. The robber is thought to be in his 30s or 40s and has close-cut, thinning hair. He also had a mustache and a scar on the side of his face.

He was wearing a long-sleeved, light blue shirt with a light-colored T-shirt underneath.
