Two Raleigh girls located; police rule out kidnapping

Posted May 28, 2015

— Police said Thursday that two girls picked up in an SUV in northeast Raleigh weren't kidnapped and have been found.

Initial reports said a man forced the girls into an SUV near the intersection of Coral Ridge Court and Wallingford Drive shortly before 8:30 a.m.

Multiple witnesses told police that a man in a white SUV, possibly a Ford Expedition, stopped and made the girls get into the vehicle before driving off.

Shortly before 11 a.m., police issues a news release stating that at least one of the girls knew the man and that they weren't abducted. The girls were located and are fine, police said.

Ummmm, no, I'm pretty sure what led people to believe it was an abduction was the fact that people thought the man was forcing them into the car. I'm sure people would not have thought anything about it if they saw two girls get into a car with a guy if they all looked friendly with each other. No sexism, just common sense and deduction. Good grief.

Sexism in action. Man picks up kids, automatically trying to abduct them.

Why does WRAL almost always refuse to provide any details on the suspect? Its being reported all over the radio that the suspect is a black male and they even are providing a description of the man. Just makes me wonder what WRAL motives are when it comes to "reporting the facts."
