Raleigh police are renewing their request for the public's help in identifying three men wanted in connection with a fatal shooting that happened last month.

Alfonso Canjay Rincon, 42, was found dead at 1 a.m. on Oct. 31 in the 6100 block of Foxhall Village Road.

Investigators said Tuesday that they believe Rincon might have been awakened by a noise outside his home and that he caught two men looking into one of his vehicles.

Rincon then told his family to call 911 and then left to look for the two men, authorities said.

Witnesses also told police that they saw two men near his house in a dark-colored four-door sedan and, a short time later, heard a gunshot.

Police are looking for two men in their 20s or 30s who, at the time, were both wearing gray and blue hooded Nike sweatshirts. One had shirt dark hair and a thin mustache. The other man was bald and wore a black or blue bandana.

Authorities are also looking for the driver of the sedan. He was bald and wore a black or blue bandana.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Raleigh Crime Stoppers at 919-834-4357 or go to the Crime Stoppers website.

Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for anonymous tips that help solve cases.

My heart goes out to his family, having to face their holidays without their husband and father. I hope someone gives the right info that leads to the capture of the men who did this. If you know anything, please come forward.

I sure hope they catch the killers. Mr. Rincon looks like he was a very nice man. Probably just trying to protect his family. RIP Alfonso.
